Delhi Police nab a man for duping female docs over providing PG seats

The accused created fake Facebook profiles

New Delhi, Jan. 5 (Delhi Crown): TheDelhi Police have arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly duping over a dozen female doctors on the pretext of providing them Post Graduate (PG) seats in medical colleges.

According to DCP (South Delhi) Benita Mary Jaikar, the accused, whose identity hasn’t been revealed yet, created his several fake profiles on Facebook in the name doctors and duped female doctors.

The female doctors fell prey to his ill-designs as NEET-PG counselling is about to begin anytime soon now, after the Supreme Court decides on several pleas pending before it over EWS reservation issues.

The SC is expected to give its final decision over the pending petitions on Thursday (Jan. 6), after which the admissions to UG and PG would begin.

Ahead of NEET-PG counselling one often gets to hear about agents claiming to “manage” Under Graduate and Post Graduate seats for medical students, despite admissions being done purely on merit.

Gone are the days when medical admissions were sought on ‘capitation fees’ or ‘donations’.
