Delhi Zoo shut amid Covid scare
New Delhi, Jan. 5 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Zoo was shut on Wednesday temporarily due to the sudden surge of Covid cases in the national capital, said an official at the National Zoological Park.
Delhi recorded as many as 10,665 positive cases and eight deaths during the past 24 hours, even as the Positivity Rate jumped to 11.88%.
The fresh cases registered on Wednesday was 94% higher than yesterday’s 5481.
Around 11,551 patients are under home isolation, and the number of those admitted in hospitals saw a sharp surge. The city has 3908 Containment Zones, the a Covid bulletin released by Delhi’s health department said.
