Accused had snatched a gold chain earlier this month

New Delhi, Nov. 19 (Delhi Crown): The Najafgarh Police arrested one person accused of snatching a gold chain off a woman in the town, confirmed the local SHO on Friday.

The accused has been identified as Vipin alias Sonu (28), S/o Vijay Pal R/o Baprolla-Ranholla, Najafgarh.

According to the SHO, Vipin is a habitual criminal involved in cases of theft, robbery and snatching. He is allegedly involved in more than 25 cases of theft, robbery and snatching, and is said to be Bad Character of Ranhola police station.

The arrested person had snatched a gold chain off a middle-aged woman earlier this month.

According to the complainant, she was standing outside her relative’s house at Ajay Park in Najafgarh when two boys came on a Motorcycle and snatched her gold chain.

Vipin’s accomplice is still at large, even as efforts are on to trace him, said a police source. The Najafgarh SHO said that Vipin alias Sonu is previously involved in more than 25 cases of theft, robbery and snatching.

With his arrest as many as six cases has been worked out, out which three are of Najafgarh police station and three cases of Bindapur police station.
