Accused identified Bhupender Singh, resident of Sector-5

New Delhi, Dec. 12 (Delhi Crown): The Dwarka District Police claimed to have arrested one Bhupender Singh (47), resident of Sector 5 Dwarka, who was absconding after being declared a proclaimed offender around five years ago in Maharashtra’s Raigarh.

Singh was charged under various sections of IPC for cheating. He was wanted by Raigarh police for past couple of years.

According to Dwarka DCP Shankar Choudhary, Singh was nabbed on Saturday (Dec. 11) from his residence at H No 167 DDA SFS Flats Pocket 1 Sector 5 Dwarka.

“On Saturday Dwarka South Police team consisting Head Constable Praveen, with Maharashtra police from Raigarh in the leadership of SHO Dwarka South Inspector Birender Singh and all over supervision of ACP Sunil Kumar Singh was assigned the task to nab the wanted/absconding accused,” said Dwarka DCP.

He further stated that Head Constable Praveen received a specific information about Bhupender Singh’s presence at his residence.

“With dedicated efforts of the team as well as local intelligence along with the assistance of technical surveillance, PS Dwarka South Team & Maharashtra Police succeeded to arrest Bhupender,” added the DCP.

An FIR No. 215/2016 was lodged against Singh U/s 420/34 IPC at Neral Police Station in Raigarh district.
