All Delhi schools shut “till further orders” due to air pollution

New Delhi, Nov. 21 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi government on Sunday announced to extend the closure of all schools “till further orders”.

The schools were earlier shut down for a week from Nov. 15-20, in the wake of prevailing “Severe” air pollution levels in the city.

In a circular dated Nov. 21, Additional Director of Education (School) Rita Sharma) mentioned that in pursuance of the previous order, all schools, including Govt., Govt. Aided, Unaided Recognized, NDMC, MCDs and Delhi Cantonment Board Schools “will remain closed till further orders.”

The new circular added – “However, online teaching learning activities and the examinations for Board classes would be conducted as per guidelines issued earlier.” “All the Heads of Schools are hereby directed to disseminate this information among students, staff members, SMC members and parents,” added the circular.
