Yoga classes for Covid patients in home isolation
Scheme targeted to benefit 40,000 such patients
New Delhi, Jan. 10 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Government has arranged online Yoga classes for Covid patients recuperating in home isolation.
Yoga instructors have been hired to given Asanas classes and interact with the Covid patients in home isolation. One class will have a maximum of 15 Covid patients, and arrangements have been made to cater to the need of 40,000 such patients, announced Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
“Online links will be shared with such patients today, enabling the Covid patients to register themselves for Yoga classes. This will surely help in boosting immunity level and giving some relief to the patients, though it may not fully cure Covid,” said Kejriwal in a recorded TV address on Tuesday.
According to him, as many as eight Yoga classes will be arranged throughout a day, five in the morning and three in the evening.
“Yoga teachers will give personal attention and care to the Covid patients,” said the CM and claimed that it was a unique scheme being introduced as no such scheme was introduced anywhere in the world.
Only last month, the Delhi Government had introduced “Delhi Ki Yogshala” scheme to enable the Delhiites take Yoga classes.
