Victims blame local AAP MLA Bandana Kumari for the attack

New Delhi, Dec. 1 (Delhi Crown): A video has ben going viral since this morning showing a few persons mercilessly beating up two women with sticks and iron rods in Shalimar Bagh area of North-West district, Delhi.

Among the attackers were two women and four men, alleged the victims.

The victims have been identified as Mona Shokeen (38), a local politician, and her 16-year-old daughter Khushi Shokeen, both residents of Block-BB, West Shalimar Bagh.

Speaking to www.thedelhicrown.com over phone, Mona alleged that the local MLA belonging to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Bandana Kumari was behind the attack.

She claimed that in the past she had filed a few police cases against Bandana Kumari alleging irregularities and financial bungling in MCD.

“On Nov. 19, I had reached my house at around 10.00 p.m. and parked my car. Suddenly two women named Neha and Megha came charging at us and started beating up. The two women were followed by four men who also mercilessly beat us with sticks and iron rods,” said Mona over phone.

Following the assault, Mona and her daughter were admitted at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh for over nine days.

Mona has filed an FIR (Number 0967) dated Nov. 20, 2021 with the Shalimar Bagh Police Station. Mohini Yadav has been given the charge of investigating into the case.

According to Mona, the two women involved in the attack – Neha and Megha, have been detained at the local police station while the four men, said to be hailing from Sonepat, are still at large.
