Two robbers active in Najafgarh area nabbed by Dwarka Police

New Delhi, March 21 (Delhi Crown): The Dwarka Police have busted a gang of robbers that was active in Najafgarh area (South-West Delhi) for the past several months in robbing people commuting late in the night.
Two accused arrested have been identified as Ashish (33) and Praveen (30), both residents of Gopal Nagar, Najafgarh. Both are married and used to move in a car targeting those moving alone in the night, led a lavish lifestyle and used to spend money looted during the night on expensive liquor, branded clothes and other luxuries.
Praveen is said to have applied for a visa to Australia, which is under process. The white Hyundai Verna car which the duo used in committing crimes has also been recovered.
The duo, along with other accomplices, had on Feb. 25 robbed one Paramvir of his motorcycle and a purse containing money from near Kharkhari Nahar Village. An FIR was subsequently lodged at Chhawla Police Station.
Then, on March 15 one Vikas Sharma complained to the local police that at around 01.15 a.m. as he was going towards Ghumanhera village via Khaira Road in his tempo, two youths waylaid him, robbed Rs 1500 and fled away.
This incident too had occurred near Kharkhari Nahar Village (near CNG Pump). Thereafter, an FIR was registered at the Chhawla Police Station.
One more incident of crime was registered at the Jaffarpur Kalan Police Station, which the duo has admitted to have committed.
Search is on to nab the other accomplices, said the Dwarka Police in a statement.
