Two-month-old girl found dead inside a microwave in Delhi’s Chirag Dilli
26-year-old mother prime suspect
New Delhi, March 22 (Delhi Crown): In a shocking case, the Delhi Police recovered a two-month-old dead infant (girl) kept inside a microwave in Delhi’s Chirag Dilli area, on Tuesday.
Police suspect the girl child’s mother to be the accused, even as the latter is learnt to have confessed to have killed her, said DCP (South) Benita Mary Jaikar.
“We have all circumstantial evidence pointing towards the 26-year-old mother, Dimple. She has confessed. We have arrested the mother as well,” said the lady cop.
DCP Benita further said – “Her post mortem has been done. The doctor is saying that the child was smothered prima facie. The cause of death can be ascertained only after we receive the reports. But the child had been dead and was kept in the microwave to be hidden.”
