DGCA to probe, take strict action

New Delhi, Jan. 19 (Delhi Crown): Two IndiGo planes had come to near collision in air on January 9 over the Bengaluru airport just after their take-off. The major accident was averted by a whisker.

According to sources, the incident was not logged in any logbook and it was not reported by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) either.

Now, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will probe into the incident.

A media report quoted DGCA chief Arun Kumar as saying that the regulator is investigating the incident and “shall take strictest action against those found delinquent”.
