Two habitual snatchers nabbed in Delhi’s Dwarka area

New Delhi, June 18 (Delhi Crown): The Dwarka District Police in Delhi have nabbed two habitual chain-snatchers cum auto-lifters from the Mohan Garden area, confirmed local DCP Harsha Vardhan on Saturday.

The two accused held by the police were identified as Sameer Saifi alias Shibbu (22) and Ali alias Imran (25), both residents of Mohan Garden.

Ali is said to be previously involved in five cases of snatchings/thefts.

The duo was nabbed from near Chhat Pooja Park, Vipin Garden (in Mohan Garden area), when they tried to escape on a two-wheeler on seeing the cops on patrolling-duty.

“Both of them were chased by the police staff and apprehended. On verification the Scooty was found stolen from Vikas Puri area. While accused Sameer was in possession of one knife, Ali was possessing one country-made pistol with one live cartridge,” said DCP Vardhan.
