Relief and rescue work going on at the sand mine site in Tosham

New Delhi, Jan. 1 (Delhi Crown): Two persons died and more than 15 are feared trapped inside a sand mine after a landslide occurred in Haryana’s Tosham district on Saturday.

Speaking to THE DELHI CROWN over phone from the site of the mishap, a senior cop said that two dead bodies have been recovered.

“The locals have told us that around 12-15 persons are still trapped inside the sand mine in several vehicles,” added the cop.

According to him, relief and rescue work is being carried out at the site. “Currently we are not sure about the exact number of people trapped inside it. It will be known once the relief and rescue work is completed,” he added.

Haryana Minister J.P. Dalal visited the site of the incident and directed the district administration and police officials to expedite the relief and rescue work.
