Two criminals held in Gurugram after 16 yrs of running away from police custody
Gurugram, March 2 (Delhi Crown): Two criminals have been nabbed by the Gurugram Police, 16 years after they had run away from police custody while on transit.
The duo has been identified as Vikas and Jaiveer, both residents of Kaadarpur village of Gurugram district.
Illegal arms were recovered from their possession.
According to the local police, the duo was arrested after committing a bank dacoity in 2004. They were also involved in a robbery in 2004. While they were on transit from Rajasthan to Gurugram in 2006 they managed to run from police custody, and continued to be at large for the past 16 years. Both were subsequently declared as absconders.
