One stolen car, 9 mobile phones recovered from their possession

New Delhi, March 12 (Delhi Crown): Three youths belonging to Delhi’s Pochanpur village adjacent to Dwarka have been arrested for allegedly snatching mobile phones, confirmed Dwarka DCP Shankar Chaudhary on Saturday.

The three have been identified as Dinkle Kumar alias Deepak, Harish Kumar and Santu.

One car stolen by the accused from Gurugram’s Bajghera village and as many as nine stolen mobile phones were also recovered from their possession.

On Thursday, a person had lodged a complaint with the Dwarka North police station that three unknown boys had snatched his mobile phone from near Bal Bhawan School, Sector-12 at around 5.30 a.m.

A police team was formed and with the help of CCTVs installed in the area, a search was launched to nab the accused.

Within 10-15 minutes of snatching the mobile phone, the alleged persons had also committed another robbery in the area falling under Dwarka South police station. 

The detection team checked many CCTVs and spotted a suspicious Wagon-R car.

Subsequently, on the basis of technical surveillance and secret information, the accused persons were arrested from Village Pochanpur, Dwarka, said DCP Chaudhary.

The Wagon-R car along with two robbed mobile phones as well as 7 other mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
