Three held for kidnapping, extortion in Gurugram

Had kidnapped an employee to force the employer to pay protection money

Gurugram, May 1 (Delhi Crown): Even as cases of extortion and attacks on business men continue to be on the rise in Gurugram, the local police have nabbed three persons, having criminal record, for kidnapping an employee in a bid to extort money from his employer.

Among the accused are Rahul and Satbir alias Bhola, both residents of Kherki Daula village, and Mahesh, a resident of village Narsinghpur. All the three were arrested from Palwal.

The victim, who was kidnapped by the trio, was also rescued by the Gurugram Police within a few hours of the incident. The accused had beaten up the victim, said the Gurugram Police.

The victim used to work as a cleaner at a car service centre in village Narsinghpur.

On Saturday (April 30) night the Gurugram Police received an information that some criminals had assaulted and abducted a worker of car service station located in village Narsinghpur.

Police teams from SPR Police Post and Badshahpur Police Station rushed to the spot immediately. The owner of service station informed that one Rahul, a resident of village Kherki Daula, had been demanding extortion for smooth running of his service station. On his refusal to pay extortion money, he assaulted and kidnapped his worker identified as Sombir.

Soon an FIR was registered, several police teams were formed and search began to track down the accused.

Within hours of the incident the Gurugram Police managed to nab the accused from Palwal.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that the owner of the service station was not a local resident, thus they had planned to extort money from him in lieu of smooth functioning of his business.

On his refusal, they kidnapped his worker/employee to put pressure on him to pay money. One car used in kidnapping has also been recovered.

During interrogation, it has been found that the all 3 accused have criminal history and were involved in many heinous cases. Six cases including attempt to murder, illicit liquor and assault are registered against Rahul. He had also been declared a proclaimed offender by a local court.

Satbir was involved in three cases of theft, illicit liquor and assault while Mahesh alias Cheeni was involved in six cases including murder, kidnapping and assault and he was also declared as Proclaimed Offender.
