Teen shot dead by another over trivial issue in Delhi’s Dwarka area

New Delhi, March 26 (Delhi Crown): A 19-year-old boy identified as Khurshid, a resident of Sector-16-A of South-West Delhi’s Dwarka area, was allegedly shot dead by another 19-year-old boy identified as Sahil alias Monu alias Lather, a resident of nearby Nangli Dairy area, on Saturday (March 26).

According to the Dwarka Police, the crime was committed with a country-made pistol.

Dwarka District’s Additional DCP Vikram Singh said that the incident took place in front of Akshay Public School, Kakrola Village, Sector 16-A, Dwarka, during a quarrel among some boys.

“During this quarrel one person fired upon one boy who sustained gunshot injury and succumbed to death. The deceased was declared brought dead by doctors of Tarak Hospital. The deceased has been identified as Khurshid S/o Mohd. Khan R/o JJ Colony, Sector-16-A, Dwarka, New Delhi, age – 19 years,” said Addl. DCP Singh.

He further said that no eyewitness was found on the spot and in hospital, therefore, an FIR was registered.

During the investigation, the main accused who fired upon the deceased was identified as Sahil alias Monu alias Lather, who was subsequently arrested and the weapon of offence along with one empty cartridge were recovered from his possession.

Further investigation is on, said the police.
