Street-lights, poles stolen in South-West Delhi
New Delhi, Dec. 15 (Delhi Crown): Cases of theft of street-lights and cables put up by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) in the past couple of months are galore in South-West Delhi.
The street-lights were installed to ensure security of the locals, especially women, during night hours.
According to local villagers, more than 50% street-lights and poles have been stolen by unknown persons on the on Mitraon-Kair Road. Similarly, almost all the street-lights have been stolen from the Mundhela Kalan road too.
Local MCD Councillor appealed to the public at large to extend help in nabbing the thieves.
Several street-light-poles have broken due to accidents, added the local Councillor.
