Expected price tag is Rs 35 lakhs
New Delhi, Jan. 9 (Delhi Crown): Skoda SUV “Kodiaq” is scheduled to make its facelift launch in India on Monday (Jan. 10), carrying an expected price tag of Rs 35 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The price of its previous model used to start at Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kodiaq is expected to give a tough competition to its rivals like the Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson and Citroen C5 Aircross, besides a few others.
The new Kodiaq will be available in different variants – Style, Sportline and Laurin and Klement.
The SUV will be making a comeback to the Indian market after being pulled out nearly two years ago due to BS6 norms. Kodiaq will be Skoda’s first launch in India this year, ahead of Slavia, its upcoming premium sedan.
The new Kodiaq will get a revised grille, new LED Daytime Running Lamp signatures, and new bumpers. At the rear, the tail lamps are also tweaked along with the rear bumper. The profile of the SUV remains somewhat similar to the previous generation model.
