The girl from Uttarakhand was kidnapped from Qutab Vihar, in S-W Delhi
New Delhi, April 6 (Delhi Crown): The Supreme Court will hear the plea from three convicts facing death sentences in a brutal gang-rape and murder case that took place ten years ago.
The victim was a resident of Qutab Vihar, near Chhawla in Dwarka Police District (otherwise South-West District), and worked in Gurugram’s Cyber City.
She was kidnapped by the three convicts from near her house, gang-raped and then brutally murdered. Her mutilated body was found three days later in open fields near Rewari, Haryana.
The victim hailed from Uttarakhand.
Her post-mortem report revealed that her private parts were mutilated with car-tools and was mercilessly assaulted before being killed.
The three convicts have moved the Apex Court with the plea to reduce the capital punishment, which was pronounced by a trial court and subsequently upheld by the Delhi High Court.
The three convicts are – Ravi Kumar, Rahul and Vinod. Ravi was main mastermind of the crime as the victim had spurned his advances.
