Identified as Gaurav Tyagi, accused is B.Tech & employed with DTC

New Delhi, April 22 (Delhi Crown): One person identified as Gaurav Tyagi (32), a resident of Village Jhatikra near Najafgarh, was arrested by the Delhi Police for his alleged attempt to murder on his wife earlier this month.

Gaurav, the accused, is B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and employed as an Engineer at DTC’s Rewla Depot.

He is said to be short-tempered.

According to the police, Gaurav Tyagi tried to kill his wife by strangulation over some domestic issues.

On the basis of the wife’s complaint, an FIR was registered at the Chhawla Police Station and an investigation was taken up.

The accused was absconding for the past three weeks. Based on a tip-off, the local police laid a trap near Shyam Lal College in Shahdara area and nabbed the accused.

Subsequently, he was brought to the Chhawla Police Station, and booked under various Sections of IPC for the attempt to murder.
