RailTel announces Rs 56 crore interim dividend

New Delhi, Jan. 10 (Delhi Crown): RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (RCIL), a Central Government PSU under Ministry of Railways, on Monday declared an Interim Dividend at the rate of 17.5% of paid-up share capital (Rs. 1.75 /- per share) for the FY 2021-22.

The total pay-out of the dividend is Rs.56 Crore approximately.

Further, the Board of Directors of RailTel also approved January 21 as “Record Date” for the purpose of payment of Interim Dividend of FY 2021-22.

Talking about it, RailTel CMD Puneet Chawla said, “Despite the challenge posed by Covid pandemic, RailTel managed to make rapid growth and recorded its highest ever consolidated income in FY 2020-21 of Rs. 1411 crore, a growth of 21% and achieving a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 16.6% over the past 3 years.”

RailTel, a “Mini Ratna (Category-I)” Central Public Sector Enterprise, is one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a Pan-India optic fibre network covering several towns and cities and rural areas of the country.
