Punjabi singer AP Dhillon’s concert in Delhi cancelled citing Covid rules

New Delhi, Dec. 18 (Delhi Crown): The Delhi Government on Saturday cancelled a concert of Punjabi singer AP Dhillon citing Covid-19 rules.

The concert was organised in a hotel in Aerocity, near the IGI Airport, later in the night. It was to begin at 10:00 p.m. for the launch of a new restaurant inside the hotel.

The concert was slated to be attended by 400-500 guests, who had already booked tickets.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) issued an order to cancel Dhillon’s concert citing that the gathering would be in violation of the existing Covid-19 rules.

“It has been brought to notice that a music show by AP Dhillon is being organized in a Hotel in Aerocity on December 18. Therefore, you are hereby directed to cancel the music show and the related gathering/congregation since it is in violation of the DDMA order,” said the order cancelling the concert.

In its earlier order on Dec. 15, the DDMA had prohibited all social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, festival related gatherings with effect from December 16 till January throughout the national capital.
