New Delhi, Dec. 20 (Delhi Crown): India on Monday appointed Pradeep Kumar Rawat (IFS: 1990) as its next ambassador to China.
Rawat, presently India’s envoy to Netherlands, is a noted China expert and former head of the East Asia Division in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
He is expected to take up the assignment shortly, said the Ministry of External Affairs.
Rawat will succeed Vikram Misri, who is presently posted in Beijing. Misri is expected to return to New Delhi as a Secretary.
