New Delhi, Dec. 20 (Delhi Crown): Amid speculations that Heads Governments of five Central Asian countries will be the Chief Guests at the forthcoming Republic Day Parade, on January 26, the foreign ministers of these nations met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday in Delhi.

“The Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan called on PM Modi. They are visiting New Delhi to participate in the 3rd meeting of the India-Central Asia Dialogue,” said an official statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

The “India-Central Asia Dialogue” has given impetus to the excellent bilateral relations between India and Central Asian countries. 

India and the Central Asian countries will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations next year.

According to a section of media reports, the five Central Asian leaders have been invited by India as R-Day chief guests. Their response is awaited.

If they accept the invitations, it would be the first time when Heads of Governments of all five countries would attend Republic Day Parade together as chief guests.
