One held by Dwarka Police for selling spare-parts of stolen motorcycles

New Delhi, Feb. 21 (Delhi Crown): A person accused of selling spare-parts of stolen motorbikes in Goyla Dairy area, near Dwarka in South-West Delhi, has been nabbed by the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of the Dwarka District Police.

Identified as Munshi Lal, a resident of Defence Enclave in Tajpur Khurd, Goyla Dairy, he has been involved in the ‘business’ of selling spare-parts of stolen motorbikes for the past couple of years, but had been facing problems during the past two years amid Covid-19 pandemic.

A total of three stolen motorcycles were recovered from his possession, said the police.

During interrogation, he disclosed that he was working as a motor-mechanic at that time stolen vehicles were purchased by him with the intention to sell the parts. But, due to Covid pandemic, he lost his job. Now, he wants to sell the said stolen vehicles but could not succeed.

The AATS which nabbed the accused worked under the overall supervision of Dwarka ACP (Operations) Vijay Singh Yadav, and included Inspector Kamlesh Kumar, Sub-Inspector Vikash Yadav, Head Constables Jitender, Jagat, Amit, Constables Manish, Manoj and Parvinder.
