Both were staying illegally without valid visas

New Delhi, Nov. 19 (Delhi Crown): A 31-year-old female Nigerian national and her 3-year-old son were apprehended on Thursday (Nov 18) and deported from Mohan Garden area in South-West Delhi, confirmed the local SHO Rajesh Kumar Maurya to www.thedelhicrown.com.

Identified as Josephine Ijeoma Chukwuma (Nigerian Passport No. A06948925), she was staying illegally in Mohan Garden area for quite some time. Her minor son was identified as Jacob Chika Chukwuma (Passport No. A06948291).

Both were staying illegally without have valid visas, confirmed the local police.

“The duo was handed over to FRRO staff at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI Airport as they had departure tickets ready for today,” said SHO Maurya in a statement.

The FRRO had ordered for their deportation. The deportation of the two Nigerian nationals was done under Operation “Varchasv” and part of the ongoing crack down on illegally staying foreigners in the area.

They were apprehended by Head Constable Jitender and Woman Constable Chandni.
