Asks all SHOs to apprise her about 3 top crime cases lying pending
Gurugram, Feb. 16 (Delhi Crown): Gurugram’s new Commissioner of Police (CP) Kala Ramachandran on Wednesday held the “introductory meeting” with all senior cops in the district, including DCPs, ACPs, SHOs, and all the Inspectors of the Crime and CIA units.
At the meeting, she was heard sternly asking the SHOs to list the top three crime cases pending in their respective areas.
“Let the SHOs of all police stations, traffic police stations and Crime Branch apprise me, in 2-3 minutes, about the top three crime cases pending in their respective police stations. And, also I want you to tell me what are your ideas…..You must be having certain ideas.”
Cops from all the Zones – East, West, South, Manesar, and Crime, were present at the meeting.
The new CP announced at the meeting that she will meet general public on every working day between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in a bid to establish a “direct social contact”.
During such meetings, any member of public, including representatives of RWAs or NGOs can meet her directly and submit their respective complaints regarding regular policing in the city, she added.
The senior cops present at the meeting assured the new CP to work with utmost integrity and commitment.
