Milk prices to rise in Delhi/NCR by Rs 2 per litre from Sunday

New Delhi, March 5 (Delhi Crown): Milk prices will be hiked by Rs 2 per litre in Delhi/NCR with effect from Sunday (March 6), announced Mother Dairy on Saturday.

It said that milk prices are being hiked in view of the rising farm prices, fuel costs and costs of packaging material.

The new prices will be applicable for all milk variants, said Mother Dairy in a statement.

“The surge in farm prices in only being partially passed on to the consumers, with an effective revision of only 4% which is lower than the increase witnessed in the farm prices and overall food inflation, thereby securing the interests of both the stakeholders. From Sunday the Full Cream milk will be available for Rs 59 per litre, Cow Milk for Rs 51 per litre, Toned Milk Rs 49 per litre.
