New Delhi: Lady lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj, who is facing several FIRs and criminal cases in Delhi courts over allegedly looting/misappropriating money to the tune of Rs. 10 crores at the NEW DELHI HOUSE situated at Barakhamba Road, is now hell bent in destroying the basic fabric of the foreign journalists’ Club – The Foreign Correspondents Club (FCC) of South Asia, located just opposite to the Pragati Maidan.
Lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj is facing a Criminal Court Case Number 5258/2019 at the Patiala House Courts under sections 323, 324, 325, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for “physically assaulting” the workers at the NEW DELHI HOUSE while they were protesting against her over misappropriation of money to the tune of Rs 10 crores.
An FIR (Number 52/2017) concerned to this criminal case was filed against lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj at the Barakhamba Road. Besides, lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj also faces several other civil/criminal cases in Delhi courts, including a few under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, or the “SCs/STs Act”.
After allegedly looting the owners of office-units at the NEW DELHI HOUSE, lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj is now hell bent in grabbing The FCC of South Asia, by “forcing” the members of the Club’s Governing Committee members to file false and frivolous civil cases against the Club’s members with the ulterior motive of pocketing (ill-gotten) money in the form of Fee. It is learnt that lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj pockets around Rs. One lakh every month from the Club as fee…!
In recent months two new civil cases (of Criminal Defamation) were filed by “president” S. Venkat Narayan and Member-Executive Simran Sodhi against a member of the Club on unfounded grounds, just to oblige lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj.
Though these new cases were filed by the two members of the Governing Committee (viz. Venkat and Simran) in their personal capacities, the Club has been paying the lady lawyer’s fee from its coffers…!
More surprisingly, while lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj has taken in “grip” the top office-bearers of the Club to meet her ulterior motives/objectives, most of the Members on the Governing Committee have no knowledge of the civil cases filed on one pretext or the other….!
Even more surprisingly, lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj, despite being on the Club’s panel for over a year, miserably failed to defend a Labour Court Case filed by an ex-worker of the Club which resulted in an EX-PARTE order against the Club asking it to pay Rs. 50,000 to the workman (Ram Dayal).
While the hard earned money of the members of The FCC of South Asia (in the form of Members’ Fee) continues to be looted by lawyer Sunita Bhardwaj, most members of the Club’s Governing Committee continue to be in a state of complete oblivion…!
