Labour Contractor in Gurugram concocts story of robbery, lands behind bars

Gurugram, May 12 (Delhi Crown): A labour contractor in Gurugram concocted a story that some unidentified persons had robbed him of Rs 440,000 from near Jharsa Chowk, along the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway.

Identified as Kamal Singh, the labour contractor called up the local police and narrated his cooked-up story, only to be exposed after the Gurugram Police scanned all the CCTVs installed in the area.

Soon he broke down and confided to the police that he had concocted the story so that he would not be pressurised by his labour to make payments.

He also revealed to the Gurugram Police that he had withdrawn money from a branch of the Indian Bank in Sector-5 and had given all the money to his younger brother’s wife in Rajendra Park, near Gurugram Railway station.

The Gurugram Police recovered all the money from the said location, and booked Kamal Singh for giving a false information to the police.

“He will be soon produced before a Gurugram court,” said the spokesman of the Gurugram Police.
