Kejriwal must declare the film “The Kashmir Files” tax-free: Adesh Gupta

New Delhi, March 15 (Delhi Crown): Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta on Tuesday wrote a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal demanding the film “The Kashmir Files” be made tax-free in the national capital just many other states have already done.

Through his letter Gupta told Kejriwal that such films which expose terrorists and terrorism need to be “widely promoted”.

“To promote the spirit of supporting the Kashmiri Pandits the state governments of Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, etc have declared the film tax-free,” said Gupta in the letter.

He further said – “I therefore demand that the Delhi Government should allow 100% tax relief to the film The Kashmir Files.”

The Delhi BJP chief said that the film is based on the life and sufferings of the Kashmiri Pandits, and depicts the circumstances which Kashmiri Pandits faced and which forced them to leave their motherland.
