Jewellery worth Rs 30 lakhs robbed from Gurugram Sec-15 house
Victim raises doubts on a key-maker
Gurugram, Feb. 28 (Delhi Crown): A retired central government servant staying in Gurugram’s Sector-15 Part-2 has been robbed of jewellery worth Rs 30 lakhs from inside the locker of an almirah, confirmed a local cop.
In an FIR filed with the local police, victim Surender Kumar Yadav alleged that the robbed items included 300 grams of gold, diamond, and ruby studded jewellery.
It included finger-rings, earrings, a necklace set, a Mangalsutra and a pendant worth at least Rs. 10.5 lakhs kept inside a bag in the safe locker, Yadav added in the FIR.
He doubted a key-maker to be behind the robbery. According to Yadav, he had called a key-maker on Feb. 21 to get a lock fixed in the almirah. During the repair work the key-maker committed the robbery, alleged Yadav.
The local police have begun a manhunt to track down the key-maker.
