IPS S.S. Yadav promoted to Spl. CP in Delhi Police
New Delhi, April 14 (Delhi Crown): Surender Singh Yadav (IPS: 1997) has been promoted to the post of Special Commissioner of Police (Spl. CP).
On promotion, Yadav has been given the charge of Traffic (Zone-2), with an additional charge of Managing Director of the Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited (DPHC Ltd.)
According to sources, Yadav will be the youngest among the Spl. CPs the Delhi Police have now.
Till now he served as a Joint CP (Operations). Yadav is known for his various initiatives undertaken for the welfare of Delhi Police cops. He comes from Rajasthan.
On his twitter handle, Yadav describes himself as a “Cop by Passion”.
Announcing Yadav’s promotion and new posting, the Delhi Police in an official order dated April 13 also announced the transfer of Satyendra Kumar Garg (IPS: 1987) as Spl. CP (Training). He will take up his new assignment upon arrival from Andaman.
Besides, Virender Singh (IPS: 1991) was also transferred from the post of Spl. CP (Traffic Division) to Spl. CP (Traffic Zone-1).
