India tells its citizens to leave Ukarine amid threats of military action

Russia expected to launch military attacks on Ukarine soon

New Delhi, Feb. 15 (Delhi Crown): Amid the looming threat of military action by Russia on Ukraine, India has advised its nationals living in Ukarine to leave the country temporarily or avoid non-essential travel within the country.

Those who are not willing to leave the country are told to stay in touch with the Embassy.

“Indian nationals are requested to keep the Embassy informed about the status of their presence in Ukarine to enable the Embassy to reach them where required. The Embassy continues to function normally to provide all services to Indian nationals in UKarine,” said an advisory for Indian nationals in Ukarine.

Russia is expected to launch military action on Ukarine soon.

The U.S., too, is relocating its Ukraine embassy operations from the capital Kyiv to the western city of Lviv, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday, citing a “dramatic acceleration in the build-up of Russian forces”.

The move comes as U.S. officials warned that Moscow was continuing to amass more than 100,000 troops near Russia’s border with Ukraine and in neighbouring Belarus, and could at any time launch a devastating attack, including on Kyiv.

Russia, however, denied Western accusations that it is planning an invasion.
