Income Tax Return filing deadline extended to March 15
New Delhi, Jan. 11 (Delhi Crown): The last date to file Income Tax Returns (ITRs) was on Tuesday extended to March 15.
The decision was taken considering the difficulties reported by taxpayers/stakeholders due to prevailing Covid conditions.
A tweet by the Income Tax Department said – “On consideration of difficulties reported by taxpayers/stakeholders due to Covid & in e-filing of Audit reports for Assessment Year 2021-22 under the Income Tax Act, 1961, Central Board of Direct Taxes further extends due dates for filing of Audit reports & ITRs for Assessments Year 21-22.”
