Further investigation is on, and it is feared that this amount might go up,” said a spokesman of Gurugram Police.
Speaking to www.thedelhicrown.com , Aasif Khan, a youth from Mewat, said, “This scam was carried out throughout a night, sometime last week. I too received calls from my known ones that people were getting windfall gains into their bank accounts as per their wish. I could not believe it, and smelled a scam. Hence, I stayed away from it. Many people benefitted from the scam. Next morning I gathered that many bank accounts were seized, and a manhunt launched to nab those behind it.”
