Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. delivers 200th vessel “Balbir”
New Delhi, Jan. 7 (Delhi Crown): Hindustan Shipyard Limited delivered the 200th vessel named “Balbir” on Friday at Mumbai’s Naval Dockyard.
The vessel has been completely designed and built by Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. which is capable of producing 50 Ton Bollard Pull and can achieve a speed of up to 12 Knots.
During the first sea trials itself, the ship has proved her capabilities and achieved performance greater than the contractual requirements.
Tug Balbir has been built on schedule despite COVID-19 pandemic situations, said an official statement.
At its flagging off ceremony, Hindustan Shipyard Ltd.’s Director (Corporate Planning & Personnel) Cdr. JP Gupta thanked all stakeholders, including the Indian Navy, for extending their support for successful completion of the project on time.
