Hellbent to prove Kejriwal regime “corrupt”, Delhi BJP gives 24-hr ultimatum to remove Satyendra Jain

AAP says Jain is an honest person

New Delhi, April 8 (Delhi Crown): While Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal continues to thump his chest over political integrity and giving a corruption-free regimes in Delhi and Punjab, the Delhi unit of BJP is leaving no stone unturned to prove his partymen and ministers corrupt.

The BJP’s Delhi unit on Thursday gave a 24-hour ultimatum to Kejriwal to remove his Health Minister Satyendra Jain over “corruption” charges, but the AAP came out with a statement instantly giving a “clean-chit” to Jain.

Enforcement Directorate (ED), which directly reports to the BJP-led Central Government, has attached properties worth several crores in the name of persons related/close to Jain, alleging high-level of corruption under the garb of shell companies.

The attachments have been made in connection with a case of money-laundering which ED is probing against the Delhi minister.

The properties belong to four companies—Akinchan Developers Pvt. Ltd, Indo Metal Impex Pvt Ltd, Paryas Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd, Manglayatan Projects Pvt. Ltd, and J.J. Ideal Estate Pvt. Ltd.

Apart from this, properties belonging to Swati Jain, Sushila Jain, Ajit Prasad Jain and Indu Jain have been attached in the case arising out of a case of disproportionate assets.

The Delhi’s ruling party, on the other hand, continues to allege “witch-hunting” on the part of the BJP to demean its government and ministers after being “rattled” by the stupendous victory in Punjab by winning a whopping 92 seats out of the total 117 in Punjab.

Buoyed by the Punjab victory, the AAP continues to spread its base in states like Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat which go to polls later this year, and Rajasthan which goes to polls next year, besides a few other states like Haryana.

In a nutshell, the AAP seems to be posing a serious political threat to the BJP.

“The BJP is badly rattled by the AAP’s performance and acceptance & appreciation by the people everywhere. Earlier too, over 100 cases were registered against our MLAs and ministers but were dismissed by the courts of law. Satyendra Jain is an honest person, and this case against him too is politically-scripted. It too will be dismissed soon,” said AAP in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Delhi unit of the BJP has declared that it will carry out demonstrations across the capital against Satyendra Jain if he is not removed from the Kejriwal cabinet by Friday (April 8) evening.

“Jain was indulged in hawala racket worth crores of Rupees while getting Kejriwal’s patronage and protection. Jain bought properties near the unauthorised colonies at throw away prices and then developed them with public money before selling them at exorbitant prices. With an intention to hide his ill-deeds and evade the eyes of investigation agencies, Jain located his shell companies in unauthorised colonies,” said the Delhi BJP in a statement released to the media.
