Habitual auto-lifter nabbed by Mohan Garden Police
New Delhi, Dec. 15 (Delhi Crown): The Mohan Garden Police have arrested a habitual auto-lifter identified as Karan (24), a resident of Vani Vihar in Uttam Nagar, said Dwarka DCP Shankar Choudhary.
The arrest was made on December 14 (Tuesday). A stolen motorcycle was recovered from his possession.
“On Tuesday Head Constables Naresh Kumar and Abhay were returning after attending a PCR Call when at about 00:45 hrs they reached Poswal Chowk Mohan Garden. They saw some people thrashing a guy on Motorcycle. The said boy also tried to flee but was apprehended by the two cops on duty,” said DCP Choudhary.
Karan was questioned about the episode but could not give any satisfactory answers.
Subsequently on further inquiry, a Motorcycle with Registration No. DL 9SZ 2567 was found stolen in case registered as Bindapur Police Station. The bike was reportedly stone on December 10. Hence the accused Karan was arrested and the stolen Motorcycle was recovered from his possession, added DCP Choudhary.
Accused Karan was found to be involved in as many as seven vehicle theft cases in the past.
