Gym-owners urge DDMA to take up their request to reopen gyms
DDMA meet on Friday to decide on lifting Covid curbs
New Delhi, Feb. 3 (Delhi Crown): Gym-owners in Delhi on Thursday urged the DDMA, L-G Anil Baijal and CM Arvind Kejriwal to allow reopening of the gyms at the DDMA meeting scheduled to take place on Friday
“In Delhi 5,00,000 people are dependent on gyms for their livelihood. Gym owners have already suffered a lot of financial losses due to lockdown and all of the gym owners are under financial debt. We request the authorities to let us open our gyms and let us get back in making Delhi fitter again,” said Chirag Sethi, Vice-President of the Delhi Gym Association.
Sethi said that gyms have been open in other states and no spike in Coronavirus cases have been seen.
“We request the authorities to let us open our gyms and let us survive this financially deadly pandemic. In the past also we have followed all the SOP’s and we will adhere to all the precautions in the future as well. We hope for a favourable decision this time,” added Sethi.
