Covid guidelines issued exclude kids below 5 yrs. from wearing face-masks

Gurugram, Feb. 23 (Delhi Crown): Authorities at Gurugram’s Shikshantar School stopped children aged below three years from entering school-premises for not wearing face-masks.

This happened despite clear guidelines laid down by the Union Health Ministry on January 20 this year excluding school children below 5 years from wearing a face mask.

A video of mother of a girl child studying in Shikshantar School, situated in Gurugram’s South City-1 area, is making rounds on social media, showing how the children aged below 3 years were stopped by school authorities from entering school premises.

An attempt was made to contact the school authorities for a clarification regarding the same, both through a phone call and email. But it failed to evoke any satisfactory response(s).

On a landline phone-call a female employee of the school said – “We are not aware of any such controversy. Hence, we can’t comment.”
