Gurugram Police nab 3 persons for supplying liquor to dry state Gujarat

Gurugram, May 13 (Delhi Crown): The Gurugram Police on Friday claimed to have cracked a major gang involved in illegally supplying “imported” liquor to dry state Gujarat, after they arrested as many as three persons, including one possessing a fake defence personnel’s ID card.

The Gurugram Police also recovered 224 bottles of imported liquor from the trio, two fake ID cards of Ministry of Defence, and one car bearing Gujarat registration number used for supplying the liquor bottles to Gujarat.

The three accused have been identified as Gulshan Khanna, Ravi Kumar (both Gurugram residents) and Rathore Ashishbhai, a resident of Panchmahal in Gujarat.

They were involved in the illegal activity of supplying liquor to Gujarat for quite some time. Gulshan and Rathore used to collect “imported” liquor bottles in Gurugram and then send Ravi in a car bearing Gujarat registration number to Ahmedabad to ensure the delivery.

Ravi had two fake ID cards of a defence personnel. Whenever any police team intercepted him on the way to Gujarat, he used to show one of these ID cards, impersonate as a defence personnel and escape.

He used to charge Rs 5000 for one round, said the Gurugram Police.
