Gang involved in stealing mobile phones busted in Najafgarh

25 mobile phones stolen from Najafgarh’s Bhagat Singh Market

New Delhi, Feb. 1 (Delhi Crown): Two youths, both residents of Najafgarh, have been arrested by the local police for allegedly been involved in stealing mobile phones and selling them into grey market.

While one has been identified as Laxman (19), a resident of Dharampura-I, the other has been identified as Jitender (32), a resident of X-Block of Najafgarh’s Roshan Pura.

As many as five stolen mobile phones were recovered from Laxman, and two stolen mobile phones were recovered from Jitender’s possession.

The third accused Sachin (23), a resident of Rohtak was also arrested as he too was a part of gang involved in stealing mobile phones. Two stolen mobile phones were recovered from his possession.

The gang was busted by a police team under the direct supervision of Dwarka ACP (Operations) Vijay Singh Yadav.

The stolen mobiles were put on surveillance and clues were ascertained through IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) tracing report of the stolen mobiles. Several raids were conducted in Delhi and Haryana to trace the culprit. One culprit was zeroed on and nabbed by the police. He spilled the beans during sustained interrogation and soon receivers of the case property were also arrested

with the stolen mobile phones.

A total of 9 mobile phones have been recovered so far from those arrested.
