Four held for looting mobile phones, laptops from Gurugram’s Uppal Southend

They gained entry into the house under the garb of Covid workers

Gurugram, Feb. 25 (Delhi Crown): Four youths have been nabbed from their hideout in Sonepat for allegedly looting ten mobile phones and three laptops from Gurugram’s Uppal Southend area in Sector-49, confirmed a spokesman of the local police on Friday (Feb.25).

The incident of loot had occurred on Thursday.

According to the police, four youths entered the house of the victims on the pretext of checking if all the occupants of the house had taken both the doses of Covid-19 vaccines.

After gaining entry into the house, the accused took out a pistol (which was later found to be a fake one) and looted their belongings, including ten mobile phones, three laptops, etc.

One of the accused was known to the victims and used to stay in the house till recently.

The accused have been identified as Rajpal (24), Gopal (25), Vijapal (24), all residents of Punjab, and Ajay Kadam, a resident of Maharashtra.

After their arrests, it was gathered that Ajay Kadam used to stay in the same house with the victims. He was addicted to gambling. Recently he had suffered huge losses and had conspired to loot the belongings of his room-mates.
