First year female MBBS student commits suicide in Delhi
Incident happened at MAMC
New Delhi, Dec. 30 (Delhi Crown): A female MBBS student allegedly committed suicide by hanging inside Delhi’s Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) on Wednesday night, said a college staff.
According to the official posted with the College, the girl, a first year MBBS student, was depressed at scoring low marks in the just concluded examinations.
“She committed suicide by hanging inside Room No. 64 at the second floor of the Sanjivani Hostel inside the MAMC premises,” said the official.
The deceased’s room-mate revealed to the College authorities that she (deceased) was awake till midnight, after which she went to the adjoining room, not allotted to anyone, locked it from inside and took the extreme step.
Post-mortem had been conducted, and the girl’s family informed about the incident.
