Accused is a resident of Qutub Vihar, near Chhawla

New Delhi, Feb. 18 (Delhi Crown): Inspired by the infamous ‘Bunty Chor’ who is known for stealing luxury cars from inside houses across the country, a 23-year-old boy has been nabbed from the Qutub Vihar residential colony, near Delhi’s Dwarka area, for allegedly taking to stealing Scooties for staring a new business of selling vehicles !

The accused has been identified as Vikas Sharma alias Neeraj (23) S/o Naresh Sharma. He was arrested by a team of AATS (Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of the Dwarka District Police. Two Scooties were recovered from his possession.

The AATS team was led by Inspector Kamlesh Kumar, and comprised Sub-Inspector Vikas Yadav, Head Constables Amit, Hemchander and Constables Rajbir, Arvind, and Manoj.

During interrogation, Vikas is learnt to have told the police that he drew inspiration from the infamous ‘Bunty Chor’ who has time and again hit headlines for his startling thefts of luxury cars from inside the houses.

The accused was nabbed from Kiker Chowk, Chhawla, where he had come to meet his friend riding a stolen Scooty which was stolen too. He had been previously arrested too for his involvement in theft cases.

According to the police, Vikas, a school dropout, was a drug addict and he took to stealing two-wheelers to earn money for satiating his drug needs.
