Ex-Armyman held for sexually assaulting a lady in Dwarka park while impersonating as a cop

New Delhi, Feb. 12 (Delhi Crown): An ex-serviceman and now a wrestling coach in Gurugram has been arrested for sexually assaulting a lady in a park in Dwarka and extorting Rs 5000 from her male friend, while impersonating as a cop, confirmed the Dwarka District Police on Saturday.
The accused had also allegedly beaten up the male friend of the lady when he objected to the sexual assault.
The accused has been identified as Rajesh Kumar (38), who voluntarily retired as a Subedar in the Indian Army. He now trains wrestlers at an Akhada in in Daultabad, Gurugram.
Kumar is a resident of Qutub Vihar area near Chhawla village. His new car, khaki pant and mobile phone used by him during the commission of the offence have been recovered from him.
The alleged crime was committed by him on January 28 inside a park in Dwarka.
During the police interrogation, Rajesh Kumar had got a job in the Indian Army in sports quota.
The girl had lodged a complaint with the Dwarka Police on February 4. After intense efforts by the local police, the accused was nabbed from his residence, said the Dwarka Police on Saturday.
