ED grills Aishwarya Rai, Jaya Bachchan loses cool in Parliament
New Delhi, Dec. 20 (Delhi Crown): Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in New Delhi, after seeking adjournments twice in the past, in relation to her name appearing in “Panama Papers”.
A list of 500 Indians had featured in the Panama Papers in which 11.5 million tax documents were leaked, exposing several world leaders and celebrities who had allegedly stashed away money abroad in offshore companies.
Aishwarya’s father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan was also named in the list.
Meanwhile, in the Rajya Sabha Aishwarya’s mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan lost her cool and lashed out at Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs for some personal comments passed on the former.
Indicating at the BJP MPs, Jaya was heard as saying “their bad days would begin soon”.
