Dwarka South Police arrest a sextortionist
He posted private pics with a girl after marriage proposal was cancelled
New Delhi, Jan. 1 (Delhi Crown): The Dwarka South police have arrested a person for allegedly stalking, blackmailing, threatening and posting private pictured of a woman after their marriage proposal was cancelled.
The accused has been identified as one Rajesh Singh Suman (33), a resident of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.
Victim Shakshi had complained to the police that she came in contact with the accused through a wedding portal.
After she met him a couple of times, she shared her personal photographs with him. Sometime later the marriage proposal was cancelled, after which the accused started blackmailing and threatening the complainant to post her private photos on social platforms and share her photographs with multiple acquaintances.
She further alleged that he made her fake Facebook and Instagram accounts in which he was posting her pictures. On the basis of the complaint, an FIR was filed against the accused.
The police team comprising Head Constable Praveen Yadav and Constable Surendra under the supervision of SHO Dwarka South and ACP Dwarka Vijay Singh Yadav was set up which managed to arrest the accused from Aligarh (UP) after making rigorous efforts and after taking the help of technical surveillance.
The accused was earlier arrested in a similar case registered at Welcome Police Station.
