Over 10 mobile-phones recovered, accused arrested

New Delhi, Nov. 24 (Delhi Crown): In a major crackdown, with the arrest of ten persons the Dwarka district Police claimed to have solved over ten cases of mobile-phones thefts and snatchings.

The arrests were made, and mobile phones recovered, over a period of past three days.

“To recover snatched/stolen mobile phones, Dwarka Distt. Police is regularly making sincere efforts through its Cyber Crime Cell and police personnel of affected police stations,” said a senior cop posted with the Dwarka district police office.

The arrests were made by a dedicated team working under the supervision of Inspector Om Prakash Pawar and the overall supervision of ACP Vijay Singh.

The team of Dwarka district Cyber Crime Cell consisting of Sub-Inspector Rajesh, Sub-Inspector Rajender, ASI Mukesh on the basis of technical surveillance/CDR analysis zeroed in the users of 11 stolen mobile phones and nabbed them along with the phones.

The receivers of these mobile phones along with the recovered mobile phones have been handed over to the concerned police stations for further investigation, said the local cop.

Those arrested include Ravi (26), a resident of Dwarka Sector-16, Jagdish (27) a resident of Bharat Vihar, Kakrola, Jyoti (32), a resident of Nihal Vihar, Nangloi, Vinod (29), a resident of village Ranhola, Govind (32), a resident of Rithala, Roshan (30), a resident of Sagarpur, Nand Kishore (29), a resident of Bindapur, Harikishan (23), a resident of Madhu Vihar, Pankaj (27), a resident of village Bamnoli, and Shakeel (35), a resident of Mohan Garden.
